What institutional investors review first.
The five deliverables that decide whether the second meeting happens.
Institutional investors do not read your deck cover-to-cover before the first meeting. They read five documents — the executive summary, the cap table, the integrated forecast, the unit economics page, and the most recent financial statement. If those five tell a coherent story, the second meeting happens. If any of them contradicts another, it does not. This essay covers what each document needs to contain and the consistency tests they get measured against.
